Material certifications for steel components utilized in fabricating the Racking system may be requested prior to accepting delivery.
Steel components will be supplied with coating ceertifications- for example: Hot Dipped Galvanized parts will have Certifications showing thay have been Galvanized to ASTM A123.
General Steel grades used for flat bars, angles, channels and plate sections shall be ASTM A-36 as a minimum.
Rectangular and square sections shall be ASTM A-500 grade B as a minium.
I-beam and H-beam sections shall be ASTM A-36 at a minimum.
Vertical supporting members for the Modules are ASTM A653 with a G90 coating Value
Fasteners & Hardware
Fasteners must provide corrosion resistance, as well as, electrical continuity.
Hardware to assemble the galvanized steel components will be A325 structural grade hardware that is Hot Dipped Galvanized.
Hardware to attach the Modules to the vertical supporting members will incorporate a stainless steel 18-8 serrated flange bolt, a stainless steel 410 external tooth lock washer and a stainless steel 18-8 nut to promote electrical continuity and a secure fit.
